PDT Engines, Inc. ACTS Steels Parent Company, has a patent on a unique engine design; and it is setting up a manufacturing division called “The Little Engine That Can”. This division will serve as the manufacturing arm for PDT Engines Inc. and will also sponsor a vehicle and a team by the same name in the Progressive Automotive X Prize competition to begin in the spring (February) of 2010. http://www.progressiveautoxprize.org/teams

The X Prize is a race to produce an engine / vehicle that will provide the consumer with 100 MPGe vehicles. (The small ‘e’ stands for equivalent) The X Prize is about 7.5 Million dollars for the wining team. The PDT engine has several specialized and unique components making a compact engine system that can be bolted into present and future vehicles with relative effort. This new system is physically smaller, lighter, with great performance. This engine concept converts its kinetic and thermal energy of the combustion so efficiently into shaft HP that there is little exhaust sound and very few emissions.

ACTS Steels Customers and Vendors are invited to join in creating a Co-Op, “The Little Engine That Can Company,” becoming its founders and shareholders. The company will be mainly an assembly plant and you (ACTS Steels customers) will be producing the parts, molds and its components. This will be a co-operative effort with shared rewards. We hope to begin production by the third Quarter of 2009 and this will be in agreement with the X Prize foundation conditions that we produce 10,000 of these same engines for sale, within one year of the end of the race.
Additionally we hope to produce the Jadon 668 HP diesel PDT that will provide the trucking industry with excellence performance and an economy of some where around 50/60 MPGe for a loaded Semi truck. There will be a lot of work to do and corresponding rewards for all involved.

With time and resources the unique PDT Engine concept can replace any presently used gas or Diesel IC engine.
